Often I write and rewrite an intro to a blog post only to delete the whole thing and never come back to it, so this time I think I’m going to skip an intro. I know why you’re here, so why not give you what you want? It’s kind of like finding a recipe online and the person who shared their recipe also wants to share their entire lives and OH MY GOD COURTNEY I DON’T CARE ABOUT YOUR TRIP TO ARUBA JUST TELL ME HOW TO MAKE A GREEN BEAN CASSEROLE!
 

So yeah, I’m not going to do that. Unless you want to know how I make a green bean casserole. But you probably don’t care, right? I mean, if you have a minute or two then I don’t mind sharing my secret to the perfect green bean casserole that my family just loves! But first, let me tell you about how my grandmother…

Update on Book 3: I’m on the last chapter of the first draft, which will then be followed by the Super Awesome Revision phase of writing. I usually hate revisions and editing, but I’m kind of excited to do it this time around because I know I need to remove a bunch of extra crap that no one needs. Typically that doesn’t happen with me, but this rough draft is especially rough. Like “driving uphill on an unpaved driveway during a thunderstorm in a 20 year old sedan that’s on its last legs” kind of rough. You know what I mean, right? Everyone has been there before, yeah? (okay probably not)
 

Unfortunately, there is no timetable for the release of Book 3. Originally I wanted to publish a book a year until the series was finished, but life gets in the way. I suffered from burnout pretty hard towards the end of 2022 while trying to finish this first draft and have struggled to continue the story. I would like to say that the book will be ready for publishing before the end of the year but I can’t make any promises. It really just depends on how motivated I am, and right now I’m about as motivated as a 20 year old sedan on its last legs trying to climb someone’s mountainous unpaved driveway during the thunderstorm of the century…..
